Top Chef: Episode 4.4 Gourmet or No Way?

Here's the Gourmet or No Way article for this week's episode of Top Chef.  I'm coming to accept that I look exactly like Stephanie:

Not that she's not cute enough, but I always want more street cred than cute gets you.  In my head, I look like this:

Anyway.

I'm also going to be doing a compare and contrast weekly article regarding Hell's Kitchen (which started its fourth season this week) and Top Chef; here's the first.  Hell's Kitchen is pretty trashy, for sure, but on the other hand, Top Chef is a bit elitist and might not really reward the kind of grinding consistency needed to run a restaurant kitchen well.  Populist lowbrow blue collar vs. upscale creative flash.

And finally, I will take this, the privacy of my own blog, to complain that I really wish that if I say that an interviewed chef calls another chef a "sleeper" contestant, that I wouldn't be personally argued with by a commenter saying I shouldn't call her a sleeper contestant because of several points, which happen to be STUFF I ALREADY SAID IN A PREVIOUS ARTICLE.  That's why I put quotes around it and said "He said."
